I moved to Scotland from Ireland at the young age of 18 to pursue a career in nursing. It was there that I met my now husband and after a couple of years we decided to make the big move to Australia. I was very fortunate to be able to complete my Nursing studies in Perth.
Throughout my nursing career I have worked in too many areas to mention but in recent years I have developed a passion for working with children especially those with a broad spectrum of disabilities. I also love my work as a Medical Centre Nurse and Childhood Immunisation Nurse.
It was during these years that I met so many mums and Dads who, like me, struggled with a child who never seemed to want to sleep without some kind of intervention.
It was after giving birth to my son, who was a particularly difficult baby and a poor sleeper that I was finally motivated to make a change for the sake of my family and I, and so the research and study began. My Husband and I are very fortunate to now have 2 wonderful children. Cooper was born in Jan 05 and Kate who was born in Jul 09. Kate has been such a wonderful addition to our family. Knowing now what I didn’t know then has resulted in Kate being a great little sleeper! 11-12 hrs a night and 4-5 hours in the day since she was 10 weeks old!
Today I am proud to say that I have been able to help many families to finally begin to appreciate and enjoy their family life again. Be it a sleep or behaviour problem, I feel proud when after completing my programmes I can see a happier child and a much happier parent/parents.
I can't wait to pass on the relevant tools and benefits that the Goodnight Nurse packages can provide so that you, like me, can have a real "GOODNIGHT".
